Today's Prayer To Archangel Michael For...
Comfort for the Dying
Prayer to St. Michael for Guidance and Comfort for the Dying
Heavenly Father, Merciful Redeemer,
We come before You in faith, seeking Your mercy and comfort for those who are approaching the final moments of their earthly journey. You are the God of eternal life, whose love transcends all fear and suffering. In Your kindness, You have given us St. Michael the Archangel as a defender and guide for souls in their final hour. Through his intercession, grant the dying peace of heart, strength of spirit, and the joy of Your eternal promises.
St. Michael, Guardian of Souls in Transition,
You who are entrusted with leading souls to their eternal home, be present with those who are preparing to meet their Creator. Shield them from the fear of the unknown and from the enemy’s attempts to disturb their peace. Surround them with the light of Heaven and the comfort of God’s love, reminding them that death is not the end but the beginning of life eternal.
When their strength wanes and their spirits falter, inspire them to place their trust in God’s infinite mercy. Let your prayers be their shield, guiding them safely into the arms of their Savior.
Protector of the Vulnerable and Suffering,
We lift up to your care those who are dying alone or in pain. Comfort them in their suffering and defend them from feelings of isolation and despair. Remind them that God is with them, holding them tenderly and lovingly, even in their weakest moments.
Through your intercession, may they feel the presence of the angels surrounding them and experience the peace that only God can provide. Let your prayers bring relief to their hearts and reassurance that they are not alone in their final hours.
Champion of Hope and Courage,
St. Michael, we ask for your guidance for those who feel unprepared or burdened as they approach death. If they carry guilt, regret, or unresolved fears, lead them to God’s mercy and healing. Inspire them to place their trust in the promises of Christ, who died so that all may have eternal life.
For those unable to voice their prayers or fears, intercede on their behalf. May your prayers uplift their souls and remind them that God’s love is unchanging, even in their last breath.
Defender of Souls Facing Temptation at Death,
St. Michael, protect the dying from the final temptations of the enemy, who seeks to sow doubt, fear, or despair. Stand as their shield, reminding them that Christ’s victory over sin and death is their hope and salvation.
Guard their minds and hearts, allowing them to focus on God’s love and the joy of His eternal Kingdom. Inspire them to surrender fully to His will, trusting that He has prepared a place for them in His heavenly home.
Guardian of Families and Loved Ones,
We pray for the families and loved ones of the dying, who walk this sacred journey with heavy hearts. Comfort them in their grief and give them strength to be a source of love and support. Guide them to pray fervently for their loved one’s peace, trusting that their prayers are a gift of grace in this holy moment.
Help families to place their hope in the resurrection, where they will one day be reunited with their loved ones in God’s presence. May your intercession bring them the reassurance of God’s plan and the comfort of His promises.
Guide to the Gates of Heaven,
St. Michael, accompany the dying as they leave this world and enter into eternal life. Lead their souls gently and safely to the gates of Heaven, where Christ awaits to welcome them into His eternal embrace.
Help them to release their earthly burdens and surrender to God’s infinite love, which casts out all fear. Let your presence assure them that they are not alone and that their destination is the eternal joy of Heaven.
Closing Invocation
St. Michael the Archangel, steadfast protector and guide of souls, we thank you for your care and intercession. Through your intercession, may the dying find peace, comfort, and the joy of entering into God’s eternal Kingdom.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
