Prayer to St. Michael for the Deliverance and Peace of the Souls in Purgatory

Heavenly Father, God of Mercy,

We come before You, filled with hope and trust in Your infinite love, to pray for the Holy Souls in purgatory. You are the source of all grace, justice, and compassion, and in Your great wisdom, You purify those who long to be united with You. In Your mercy, You have appointed St. Michael the Archangel as a guardian and guide for souls in their journey to Heaven. Through his intercession, may the Holy Souls find comfort in their suffering, hope in Your promises, and eternal rest in Your presence.

St. Michael, Advocate for the Suffering,

You who protect the faithful and guide souls to Heaven, we ask for your powerful intercession for the souls undergoing purification in purgatory. Defend them from any lingering influence of the enemy, and shield them with your heavenly strength as they prepare to enter into God’s glory.

When they feel the pain of separation from God, remind them that this purification is a testament to His infinite love. Through your prayers, may they find courage, peace, and the joy of knowing that eternal life is near.

Protector of the Forgotten,

We entrust to you the souls who have been forgotten, those who have no one left to pray for them. Surround them with your care, and advocate for them before the throne of God, that they may be released from their suffering and welcomed into the eternal embrace of the Father.

Inspire us, as members of the Church, to remember these souls in our daily prayers and sacrifices. Let us never tire of offering our intercessions for those who long to see the face of God, knowing that our prayers hasten their joy.

Champion of God’s Justice and Mercy,

St. Michael, remind us of the perfect balance of God’s justice and mercy. Intercede for the Holy Souls, that the cleansing fire of God’s love may refine them and prepare them for the fullness of Heaven. Inspire us to trust in the power of prayer, especially the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, as a means of bringing grace and relief to those in purgatory.

Through your intercession, may the merits of Christ’s Passion and Resurrection flow abundantly upon these souls, bringing them closer to eternal union with God.

Defender of Souls Most in Need,

We lift up to you the souls who are in the greatest need of God’s mercy—those who died suddenly, without the sacraments, or with unresolved sin. Stand as their protector and guide, that they may experience the full healing power of God’s love.

Let your prayers bring them strength as they endure their purification, and may they feel the hope of eternal life drawing nearer. Guide them gently toward the light of God’s presence, where they will find everlasting peace.

Guardian of Families Praying for Their Departed,

We pray for the families and loved ones of those in purgatory, who remain connected to them through prayer and love. Comfort them in their sorrow, and inspire them to trust in the power of their intercessions.
