Prayer to St. Michael for the Relief and Release of Souls in Purgatory

Heavenly Father, God of Compassion and Mercy,

We come before You, lifting up the Holy Souls in purgatory, who long to be cleansed and welcomed into the joy of Your eternal Kingdom. You are the source of all goodness and love, purifying those who seek to be united with You. In Your infinite wisdom, You have appointed St. Michael the Archangel as a protector and intercessor for these souls. Through his prayers, grant them relief in their suffering, hope in their longing, and swift entry into the glory of Heaven.

St. Michael, Protector of Souls,

You who defend the faithful, stand beside the Holy Souls as they undergo their purification. Guard them from the despair of separation and remind them that God’s love surrounds them even in their suffering. Be their strength and encouragement as they await the fullness of God’s glory.
