Today's Prayer To Mother Mary
Mercy and Forgiveness

A Prayer to Mother Mary for God’s Mercy and Healing of the Heart
O Holy Mother Mary,
Mother of Mercy and Advocate for Sinners, I come before you today with a heart that longs for the mercy and forgiveness of God. I recognize my own sinfulness and the ways I have fallen short of living a life of love, humility, and faithfulness. You, who are the Mother of Compassion, understand my human weakness, and I ask for your prayers that I may experience the healing power of God’s mercy in my life.
O Mary, you are the Queen of Heaven, and yet you lived a life of humility and perfect obedience to God’s will. Help me to follow your example, always seeking to do God’s will and to turn away from sin. I ask for your intercession as I come before God with a contrite heart, seeking His forgiveness for the times I have failed to love Him and others as I should.
O Blessed Mother, you witnessed the ultimate act of mercy when your Son, Jesus Christ, gave His life on the Cross for the salvation of the world. Through His sacrifice, He offered forgiveness and redemption to all who seek it. Help me to approach the Sacrament of Reconciliation with humility and trust, knowing that God’s mercy is greater than any sin I have committed.
Sometimes, O Mary, I struggle to believe that God could forgive me for the mistakes I have made. I am weighed down by guilt, shame, and regret, and I find it difficult to accept God’s forgiveness. In these moments, I turn to you, asking for your prayers and encouragement. Remind me that there is no sin too great for God’s mercy, and that His love is always greater than my failures.
O Mother of Divine Mercy, I ask for your intercession as I seek to forgive myself for my past mistakes. Sometimes, I hold onto guilt and shame, even after I have sought God’s forgiveness. Help me to trust in the power of Christ’s sacrifice, which has washed away all my sins. Teach me to accept God’s mercy with a humble and grateful heart, and to live in the freedom that comes from knowing that I am forgiven.
I also ask, O Mary, for the grace to extend mercy and forgiveness to others. Just as I have received God’s mercy, help me to be a source of mercy and compassion to those around me. When I am hurt or wronged, help me to forgive, even when it feels difficult or painful. Let me remember the words of your Son, “Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us,” and help me to live those words in my daily life.
O Mary, Queen of Peace, I ask for your intercession in bringing peace to my heart through the gift of forgiveness. When I am tempted to hold onto anger or resentment, help me to remember that forgiveness brings healing, not just to the one who is forgiven, but also to the one who forgives. Let my heart be open to the grace of forgiveness, so that I may experience the peace that only God can give.
O Mother of Good Counsel, guide me in seeking reconciliation with those I have hurt. Sometimes, pride or fear prevents me from asking for forgiveness, even when I know I have caused pain. Help me to approach others with humility and sincerity, seeking to repair broken relationships and to restore peace. Let me be a source of healing and reconciliation, guided by your example of mercy and love.
Finally, O Blessed Mother, I ask for your prayers as I seek to grow in the virtue of mercy. Help me to cultivate a heart that is patient, kind, and compassionate, always ready to forgive and to seek reconciliation. Let me be quick to forgive, just as God has forgiven me, and to live a life that reflects the mercy of Christ to the world.
Thank you, O Mary, for your constant intercession and love. I place my heart in your hands, trusting that you will lead me to the mercy and forgiveness of your Son, Jesus Christ. Through your prayers, may I be transformed by God’s grace and live a life that brings glory to Him.
Amen.
