A Prayer to Mother Mary for Growth in Faith, Hope, and Charity

O Most Holy Mother Mary,

I come before you today with a deep desire to grow in the theological virtues of faith, hope, and charity. You, who are the perfect model of these virtues, inspire me to live a life that is centered on God and His promises. I seek your intercession as I strive to grow in faith, hope, and love, trusting that through your powerful prayers, I can become more like your Son, Jesus Christ.

O Mary, you are the model of perfect faith. From the moment you received the angel’s message at the Annunciation, you believed in God’s promises with all your heart. Even when faced with uncertainty, difficulty, and suffering, you never wavered in your faith. Help me to grow in my own faith, trusting in God’s plan for my life, even when it is unclear or difficult to understand. Teach me to surrender myself to God’s will, knowing that He is always faithful to His promises and that He is working all things for my good.

O Blessed Mother, I also seek to grow in the virtue of hope. You, who remained hopeful even in the darkest moments of your life, are my guide and example. When you stood at the foot of the Cross, watching your Son suffer and die, your hope in God’s plan never faltered. Help me to develop that same steadfast hope, trusting that no matter what challenges or difficulties I face, God is always with me and will bring me through every trial. Teach me to place my hope in God alone, knowing that He is the source of all true joy and peace.

In addition to faith and hope, O Mary, I ask for your help in growing in the virtue of charity. You, who loved God with all your heart and loved others as yourself, showed the world what true love looks like. Teach me to love God more deeply, to make Him the center of my life, and to seek His will in all things. Let my love for God overflow into every aspect of my life, guiding my thoughts, words, and actions.

Mother of Divine Love, I also ask for your intercession as I strive to grow in love for my neighbors. In a world that is often divided by selfishness and indifference, help me to develop a heart that is open and ready to love. Teach me to love others as Christ loves them, with compassion, forgiveness, and patience. Let me not turn away from those in need but instead be generous with my time, talents, and resources. Help me to see Christ in every person I meet, especially in those who are most vulnerable, marginalized, or in pain.

Mary, you are the Mother of all, and you love each one of us with a mother’s tenderness. Help me to cultivate that same tenderness and care in my relationships. In my family, my friendships, and my community, teach me to love without condition, without expecting anything in return. Let me be a source of peace and comfort to those around me, always striving to bring the love of Christ into every situation. When conflicts arise, guide me to respond with gentleness and understanding, seeking reconciliation and unity.

O Mary, Queen of Heaven, I also ask for your help in growing in love for myself. Sometimes I struggle with self-doubt or feelings of inadequacy, forgetting that I am a beloved child of God. Help me to see myself as God sees me, worthy of love and dignity. Teach me to take care of myself, not out of selfishness, but out of a recognition that I am called to be a temple of the Holy Spirit. Let me grow in confidence, not in my own abilities, but in God’s love and grace working within me.

Finally, O Blessed Mother, I ask for your guidance in growing in my relationship with God. Teach me to pray with humility, recognizing that I am dependent on God for all things. Help me to approach Him with a heart full of love, gratitude, and surrender, trusting in His infinite mercy and love for me. Let my prayers be not only for myself but also for others, always seeking to lift up those in need of God’s grace.

Thank you, O Blessed Mother, for your constant intercession and love. I place my heart in your hands, trusting that you will guide me on the path of faith, hope, and charity, leading me ever closer to your Son, Jesus Christ.
